The Czech Association of Hotels and Restaurants z.s. (hereinafter referred to as AHR CR) was established in the year 2006 through a merger of the vocational associations HO.RE.KA and National Federation of Hotels and Restaurants. We are a civil association, a professional and non-political organization. We bring together the owners and operators of hotels, boarding-houses, restaurants, vocational schools, but also partners offering various products for the accommodation or restaurant operations.
At present, our member base consists of 1560 members, it is stabilised and more than 70% of our colleagues have been members of this organization for over 5 years. Our main objective is to support entrepreneurs in the hospitality and gastronomy area. We are focusing namely on the areas of legislature and lobbying, during the preparations of new legislative instruments we promote such amendments that may contribute to establishing a better entrepreneurial environment. We ensure information service and consultancies so that the AHR members can get all the information they need well in advance. We educate, explain behind the trends, we meet at various events, mediate contacts, we enable exchanges of experience, promote our members, we liaise with the public administration bodies, with the regions and destination companies.
We are members of: European Confederation of Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Cafés HOTREC, the Czech National Tourism Board, Tourism Platform and Presidium of the Czech Confederation of Commerce and Tourism, Hotelstars Union European Committee, task teams for the Quality, Copyright and OTAs areas within HOTREC, as well as a member of a number of destination companies.
In parallel to defending and enforcing the interests of the trade, the AHR CR, i.e. the Czech Association of Hotels and Restaurants (hereinafter referred to as the AHR CR), as an open voluntary association of subjects operating in hospitality, tourism and neighbouring industries, aims to make sure all its activities comply with the generally accepted ethical rules of entrepreneurial activities and interpersonal relations in a democratic society. In conformity with the Bylaws of the Association, this Code of Ethics (hereinafter referred to as “Code”) is promulgated by the General Assembly, a body that also challenges all partners of the Association to foster analogous activities and relationships.
The AHR CR Code of Ethics is a document summarising the code of conduct of the AHR CR members, who are adopting it as such upon entering the Association, openly declare their observance of the set rules and are aware of the fact that, in case of violating them and failing to provide due remedy, the Council of the Association may decide on terminating their membership without any entitlement to compensating a pro rata part of the membership dues already paid.
