Safety and hygiene have always come first, but it is doubly the truth in these days. Be the ones who show their guests what everything they do for their personal safety and enrol in the STAY SAFE project. The AHR CR has created a new program for its members, which introduces a harmonised logo, whose primary goal is to declare compliance with the hygienic measures ensuring a safe stay for the guests. Participation in the program is subject to the observance of six fundamental conditions. The accommodation facilities that have complied with the set rules can be using the safety label to communicate their safe operations to the guests.
Level 1 - information leaflets for the guests compliant with the appropriate Government regulation - available to all
Level 2 – the Stay Safe program - label, logo - conditional on the adherence to the AHR CR criteria
Level 3 - for those interested, a video addressing the guests has been released, see: https://exid.cz/restart/en/

The event is going to be taking place in Prague on a regular basis, always on the last Friday of every January. The date of the fourth annual round has been set on 31th January 2020. The fourth annual event will take place in Prague, Olomouc, Ostrava, Karlovy Vary, Brno and in other cities of the Czech Republic.
It is a Corporate Social Responsibility CSR event supported by hoteliers, the objective of which is not only to point out the economic benefits of tourism for the citizens, but also to present the hospitality area to the residents more illustratively. Hotels will offer their services to the participants and will prepare an ancillary program for them.
A symbolic price for a double room has been set at CZK 777, CZK 999 or CZK 1.111 including breakfast, VAT and additional charges. The price is the same for all facilities. Reservations of rooms will be performed directly via Night of hotel websites.
The project will be broadly presented through a media campaign. Prague City Tourism is going to prepare information materials documenting the importance of tourism for Prague. The Foundation of the Czech Association of Hotels and Restaurants supports the development of children from children´s homes with a particular focus on their educational activities. For this purpose, the “A Start to Life” project was developed within the Foundation to provide assistance to these children during their studies at tourism, hospitality and gastronomy-oriented schools. The aim of such support is to provide the children with a possibility to get educated and to seek practical experience inside the industry at the same time in order to maximally facilitate their subsequent starts into the real life once their studies have finished.
An integral part of the Foundation´s activities is represented also by the financial backing provided to the selected activities pursued by the children´s homes aimed at improving the environments and the conditions of stay for their young clients (structural adjustments and renovations of the premises, etc.).
For more detailed information on the possibility of joining in the project “A Start to Life” please contact Mrs. Ivana Němcová, Chair of the AHR CR Foundation Executive Board, via her email address: nemcova@ivananemcova.cz.

Do you want your facility to have the appropriate stars? The AHR CR has been developing the OFFICIAL STANDARD CLASSIFICATION OF THE ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC on a long-time basis as a system working on a voluntary basis across the Czech Republic ever since the year 2004. The classification system sets transparent criteria to enable the enlistment of hotels and boarding-houses in the individual classes. It has been a part of the international HOTELSTARS UNION alliance since 2010,in which already 17 European countries areparticipating and applying the common classification criteria now. This classification is the only system in the Czech Republic that will enable you to stand out from your competitors and will guarantee the quality of your services in face of the customers.

CSR is an approach to entrepreneurship that corresponds with, or even exceeds, the framework of ethical, legislative, commercial and social expectations. Responsible business comprises a range of topics that are always specific to the particular sector in which the company operates.
Let´s count and think. Responsible measures adopted by hotels and restaurants will result not only in less critical impacts upon the environment and surroundings, but also in demonstrable economic savings and new market opportunities.
Responsibility in hospitality and gastronomy is a way for hotels and restaurants to possibly move closer towards sustainability, not just environmental and social, but also economic, through a set of relatively simple measures. Responsible approach to business does not mean just charity or “extra costs”, but also a sustainable entrepreneurial attitude. Social responsibility of hotels and restaurants will cover such topics as ethics in selecting suppliers, energy and water consumption, waste management, facility management, facility operations, cleaning and maintenance, cleanliness, staff and customer engagement, products and services portfolios, support to local communities and public spaces, attitudes displayed by staff and clients to people with a handicap, etc.
We have developed a material presenting a collection of the best practices, which can be used as a guideline to follow and will also make the navigation of CSR easier.
This culinary project was developed in response to the growing interest in culinary tourism perceived around the world and its aim it is to support the attractiveness of the Czech Republic and its regions. Using a slogan “Taste the Czech Republic”, the project inspires the lovers of quality food to travelling around the Czech Republic in search of specialities they will not find anywhere else. Through the unique Czech gastronomy, it takes a closer look at various tourist destinations and introduces the culinary specials of the Czech Republic to the foreign and local tourists alike.
The restaurants entering in the project have a possibility to make their offers more attractive, to engage in various marketing activities and to promote their services. Czech Specials works simultaneously as a certification mark intended to ensure the visitors of the certified restaurants always get their traditional Czech dishes in the corresponding quality.

The aim of the project is to create a well-arranged system providing up-to-date information on the cultural, social and sports events taking place across the territory of the whole Czech Republic. Do not miss this opportunity to promote your facility!
Based on the suggestions and wishes of our member base, the Association is launching a project called “Travelling with the AHR”, the first phase of which has just been started off for the employees of our member accommodation facilities. The Association had considered the idea of introducing an incentive program involving its members already earlier in the past, but it was necessary to prepare a project in the form of an online booking platform first.
This project is absolutely voluntary and it is up to each member whether they will join in the project and its benefit scheme or not. The aim is to offer more favourable rates for accommodation services to other members of the Association, for example in the off-season periods, or just to fill up the available capacities. The 55,000 employees in our member facilities represent a mutually great potential not only for you, to top up the capacity during off-seasons, but also for your employees, who will be offered an interesting benefit of preferential prices throughout the Czech Republic.
Travelling with the AHR has been launched on the Czechadvisor.cz portal, where members can be posting their services, packages and prices already now, not only in the public section of the portal, but also in the intranet part designated for the membership base.
You can find more about the project at www.czechadvisor.cz/default/info .
